Son Arrested in Houston for Murder of Mother

A 26-year-old man is in custody after allegedly fatally shooting his mother at a residence in North Houston on Tuesday night.
Deputies with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office responded around 9:30 p.m. on June 3, 2025, to a Life in Danger call in the 500 block of Cool Spring Drive. When deputies arrived, they discovered 43-year-old Alicia Jacobo unresponsive with a gunshot wound in her bedroom. Emergency medical personnel pronounced her dead at the scene.
According to statements from the victim’s parents, ages 74 and 76, the shooter was her son, Raul Jacobo. He remained at the scene and was detained by deputies. A firearm believed to be used in the incident was recovered.
Homicide detectives interviewed Raul Jacobo, who admitted to shooting his mother. After presenting the case to the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, a murder charge was accepted.
Raul Jacobo is currently being held at the Harris County Jail.
