Serial Child Predator Arrested by Harris County Constable

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas—A man accused of committing multiple sex crimes against children has been arrested by detectives with Constable Mark Herman’s Special Victims Unit (SVU).
On Tuesday, August 26, detectives followed up on a report concerning 34-year-old Christopher Ballard, who was found to have multiple victims. Based on the investigation, the Harris County District Attorney’s Office accepted multiple first-degree felony charges related to the sexual abuse of children.
Detectives with the SVU, along with members of the Special Operations Unit (SOU), located Ballard and took him into custody without incident.
“The Harris County Precinct Four Constable’s Office applies every resource to protect the most vulnerable members of our community from predatory offenders,” said Constable Herman. “Protecting our children is not just our duty, it is our promise to this community.”
Ballard was transported to the Harris County Jail, where he was booked and charged. His bond was set at $200,000 out of the 262nd District Court.
