Round Rock Suspect Arrested in New Year’s Eve Shooting at Platinum Event Center

ROUND ROCK, TX – The Round Rock Police Department has arrested a suspect in connection with a shooting during a New Year’s Eve event at the Platinum Event Center on Chisholm Trail Road.

Javione Wright, 20, of Pflugerville, was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault—mass shooting, a first-degree felony.

The shooting occurred following a physical altercation between partygoers, during which five juveniles were struck. All victims were transported to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. One victim remains hospitalized but is in stable condition.

Detectives continue to investigate the incident, including whether additional suspects were involved.
