Andre D. Jackson

Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez announced the arrest of 31-year-old Andre D. Jackson in connection with the shooting death of 23-year-old Anwar Jackson, who succumbed to his injuries nearly two months after the incident.

On September 27, 2024, Anwar Jackson had returned to his residence in the 18700 block of Jasper Ridge via a rideshare service when he was confronted by multiple suspects. The suspects robbed him at gunpoint, during which Anwar was shot in the abdomen. Following an investigation by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Unit, Andre D. Jackson was identified as a suspect. On November 26, investigators arrested him on an open Aggravated Robbery warrant. The charge has since been upgraded to Capital Murder, and Jackson has been booked into the Harris County Jail.

The investigation into the case remains ongoing.
