Rice University’s Online MBA Program Ranks No. 6 Nationally

In a recent release of rankings by Poets&Quants, Rice University’s Jones Graduate School of Business celebrated its online Master of Business Administration (MBA) program securing the 6th position nationwide. The MBA@Rice, launched in 2018, has rapidly emerged as the fastest-growing program within the business school.

The online MBA mirrors the on-campus experience, boasting the same dedicated faculty recognized nationally. These professors draw insights from their peer-reviewed research, providing students with a comprehensive understanding of subjects such as accounting, finance, marketing, organizational behavior, and strategy in the current business landscape.

Beyond geographical boundaries, the online MBA program opens doors for individuals across the country to engage with and contribute to Rice University’s culture of excellence and community. School officials emphasized the program’s impact on fostering a diverse student body.

“The online MBA has contributed to the culture of the school by engaging students outside of Texas and bringing them into the Rice Business experience through their faculty and through student government and club roles,” explained Rice Business Dean Peter Rodriguez. “And alumni from this program are contributing, too. The newest alumni board president, for instance, hails from Boston via the online MBA program. Having an online MBA serving working professionals who may not have the option to study on campus allows us to broaden our reach and impact.”
