Restaurant Security Guard Arrested for Tasing Patrons After Dine-and-Dash Misunderstanding

Deputies with Constable Terry Allbritton’s Office responded to a disturbance call at the Ojos Locos restaurant located in the 10500 block of the Katy Freeway near the Sam Houston Parkway involving two males suspected of attempting to leave without paying their bill.

However, upon further investigation, deputies determined that the two individuals had indeed paid for their meals. As the males were departing the restaurant, the on-site security officer, employed by Ojos Locos, deployed his taser on both individuals.

Review of surveillance footage confirmed that the security officer’s use of the taser was without lawful justification. Consequently, the security officer was taken into custody and charged with Assault Causing Bodily Injury.
