Repeat Offender Arrested for Theft at Kroger; Has Been Arrested Over 70 Times

Jason Terrell Dorsey, 42, of the Clear Lake area, was arrested on March 5, 2025, for theft at a Kroger grocery store located in the 16400 block of El Camino Real.

Harris County Precinct 8 Constable’s Office deputies responded to a call regarding a theft in progress and located Dorsey, who matched the description provided. He was found to be concealing over $70 in merchandise.

Dorsey, known to law enforcement with an extensive history of theft-related offenses, was charged with Class B Misdemeanor Theft with Previous Convictions after the Harris County District Attorney’s Office declined felony charges. He was booked into the Harris County Jail and released on a $100 General Order bond.

Dorsey’s criminal history includes 70 arrests since 2001, with 53 convictions, including 21 theft convictions. He also has convictions for indecent exposure, criminal trespass, drug possession, burglary, criminal mischief, evading arrest, resisting arrest, and other offenses. Additionally, he has pending and prior theft cases in Harris County Justice of the Peace courts.
