Repeat DWI Offender Arrested in Humble Crash: Man Faces Third Intoxication Charge

On September 25, 2023, a deputy from Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to a major crash in the 20500 block of Cypresswood Drive in Humble. The at-fault driver, identified as 41-year-old Douglas Franklin, exhibited multiple signs of intoxication. Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were conducted, confirming his state of intoxication. Subsequent investigation uncovered two prior DWI convictions on Franklin’s record.

As a result, Douglas Franklin was arrested and taken into custody, later booked into the Harris County Jail. He now faces charges for his third Driving While Intoxicated offense. The bond for his release has been set at $10,000.00 by the 337th District Court.
