Reckless Driver Arrested in Cypress After Striking Mailboxes, Vehicles, and Light Pole

On January 29, 2024, deputies from Constable Mark Herman’s Office were dispatched to the 14200 block of Bateau Drive in Cypress following reports of a reckless driver who had collided with numerous mailboxes, vehicles, and a light pole before leaving the scene.

Upon their arrival, deputies received information about the suspect’s vehicle from a witness. The driver, identified as 46-year-old Richard Orsak, was subsequently located at his residence. Orsak exhibited multiple signs of intoxication and was taken into custody.

Richard Orsak was arrested and later booked into the Harris County Jail. He faces charges of Failure to Stop and Give Information in connection with the incident. The bond for his release has been set at $200.00 by County Court 3.
