Port Arthur Man Arrested in Connection with January Homicide

Nerbert Frelow Jr. has been arrested in connection with the January 18, 2025, homicide of 33-year-old Donesha Buckner.

The Port Arthur Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division obtained an arrest warrant for Frelow Jr. after investigating the murder of Buckner, who was killed in the 3800 block of Normandy Avenue. She died at a local hospital, and an autopsy ruled her death a homicide.

Frelow Jr. surrendered himself at the Jefferson County Correctional Facility on the evening of March 19, 2025, after the arrest warrant was issued.

The Port Arthur Police Department expressed gratitude for the community’s cooperation during the investigation.
