Police Respond to Robbery at Business in East Houston, Man Dead From Gunshot Wounds

Police are currently investigating a fatal shooting that occurred at 8600 Mesa Drive around 4:25 a.m. on December 6, 2023. The victim, a man believed to be in his 30s, succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds.

Houston Police Department (HPD) patrol officers responded to a robbery call at a business located at the mentioned address. Upon arrival, they discovered the victim in critical condition. Despite efforts by Houston Fire Department personnel, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

As of now, there is no available description of the suspect(s) involved in the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
