Police Investigate Fatal Crash on Bellaire Boulevard
Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 5900 Bellaire Boulevard around 10 p.m. on July 31.
The deceased male, 35, has not yet been identified pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
According to investigators, the driver of a tan GMC Sierra pickup truck was traveling eastbound when a bicyclist in the median entered the truck’s path. The driver was unable to stop and struck the bicyclist.
Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the bicyclist to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the GMC remained at the scene, showed no signs of intoxication, and was questioned and released.
The investigation is ongoing.
