Pflugerville Pursuit Ends in Arrests Amid Shots Fired
In the early hours of Sunday, March 24, 2024, a dramatic scene unfolded in Pflugerville as officers spotted a stolen vehicle carrying five individuals. When officers attempted to pull the vehicle over, it sped away, sparking a pursuit.
The chase eventually came to a halt in the Hidden Lakes Subdivision, where three of the occupants bolted from the vehicle on foot. However, the remaining two occupants opted to stay put and were taken into custody.
During the escape, one of the fleeing suspects discharged multiple rounds at the pursuing officers. Thankfully, no officers sustained injuries. In response, one officer returned fire, but the suspect was not struck.
After establishing a secure perimeter, authorities were able to capture the fifth suspect involved in the incident, bringing all individuals linked to the event into custody.
Collaborative efforts between the Pflugerville Police, Travis County Sheriff’s Office, and Round Rock Police Department proved instrumental in the successful resolution of the situation.
The Texas Rangers are investigating the officer-involved shooting. This is an ongoing investigation.
