Pedestrian Killed North Lamar Blvd Collision, Austin Police Investigating

On Saturday, August 19, 2023, at 10:57 p.m., Austin Police Department (APD) officers responded to a crash between a sedan and a pedestrian in the 100 block of North Lamar Boulevard. The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries. The driver of the sedan was not impaired, remained at the scene, and cooperated with the investigation.

This incident is being investigated as Austin’s 57th fatal crash of 2023, resulting in 60 fatalities for the year. On the date of this crash in 2022, 65 fatal crashes resulted in 66 deaths.
