Multiple Injuries in High-Speed Hit-and-Run Crash in Marble Falls

MARBLE FALLS, TX – A high-speed hit-and-run on November 19, 2025, left several people injured, including a young child, following a multi-vehicle crash in Marble Falls.
Around 1:09 p.m., Marble Falls Police, Fire Rescue, and Marble Falls Area EMS responded to the intersection of La Ventana Drive and South US Highway 281, where a 2016 Ram 2500 pickup had struck a 2011 Jeep SUV driven by 19-year-old Celeste Prado of Marble Falls. The driver of the Ram fled the scene, striking a stop sign, a light pole, and a traffic sign before colliding with several additional vehicles, including a Dodge Journey driven by 30-year-old Brittany Ashlock of Burnet, who had her 3-year-old daughter in the car, a silver Lexus driven by 75-year-old Dan Smalley of Kerrville, and a 2017 Ford F-250 driven by 62-year-old Veronica Leenen of Sealy.
Both the Ram’s driver and Ashlock’s daughter were airlifted to Dell Seton Medical Center and Dell Children’s Medical Center, respectively, and are reported in stable condition.
The Ram driver now faces multiple criminal charges, including aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury, three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, third-or-more DWI, and two misdemeanor counts related to property damage.
Investigators continue to review the circumstances surrounding the crash.
