Multi-State Sting Leads to Arrest of Two Predators Targeting Montgomery County Kids
Michael Hosch and Blake Altman

CONROE, TX – The Montgomery County Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force has announced the successful capture of two suspects in separate out-of-state arrests this month. The operations, led by Sgt. J. Serratt of the Montgomery County Precinct 1 Constable’s Office, highlight a growing crackdown on digital predators targeting local youth from across the country.

Both suspects were apprehended on Montgomery County warrants following proactive undercover investigations and are currently awaiting extradition to Texas.

Michael Hosch: Repeat Offender Captured in Indiana

Michael Hosch, a registered sex offender residing in Hobart, Indiana, was identified after allegedly engaging in illegal communication with a minor located in Montgomery County.

Following the investigation by Sgt. Serratt’s team, the Lake County Sheriff’s Office in Indiana executed a Texas-issued warrant and took Hosch into custody. Given his status as a registered offender, Hosch faces enhanced scrutiny as investigators work to determine the full extent of his digital activity.

Blake Altman: Apprehended in Missouri

In a secondary operation, Blake Altman was identified as a suspect in a similar exploitation case. He was tracked to Newton County, Missouri, where local Sheriff’s deputies apprehended him on a Montgomery County warrant. Altman remains in Missouri custody pending his transfer back to Conroe to face formal charges.

A National Reach for Local Protection

Sgt. J. Serratt, a nationally recognized expert who has arrested over 300 individuals in his career, emphasized that state lines do not provide a sanctuary for those targeting children in Montgomery County.

“The ICAC Task Force plays a critical role nationwide, investigating and prosecuting those who seek to harm our youth,” the Precinct 1 Constable’s Office stated. “In the digital age, predators increasingly use the internet to target vulnerable children.”
