Motorcyclist Arrested for Evading Arrest After Crashing into Parked Car in Spring

SPRING, TX – A motorcyclist identified as 39-year-old Jelani El-Rahim was arrested and charged with Evading Arrest in a Motor Vehicle after leading Constable Deputies on a brief pursuit that ended in a crash on July 16, 2025.

Deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office initially conducted a traffic stop on El-Rahim’s motorcycle for speeding in a residential zone in the 4400 block of Cypresswood Drive in Spring. The suspect reportedly stopped briefly but then attempted to flee on foot. Moments later, he returned to his motorcycle and fled the scene, initiating a pursuit.

During the chase, El-Rahim lost control of his motorcycle and collided with a parked vehicle. Constable Deputies then apprehended him.

Jelani El-Rahim was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail. He has been charged with Evading Arrest in a Motor Vehicle. His total bond was set at $2,600.00 out of the 486th District Court and County Court 14.
