Motorcycle Traveling At High Rate of Speed Crashes on North Loop West

Houston police are currently investigating a fatal crash that occurred on Tuesday night at approximately 10:35 p.m. The incident took place at 2900 North Loop West, also known as North Interstate Highway 610 West.

The victim of the crash, a 20-year-old male, has not been officially identified yet, pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

According to a witness at the scene, the young man was operating a red Honda motorcycle and was traveling at a high rate of speed while heading eastbound on the freeway at the specified location.

Tragically, he lost control of the motorcycle, causing him to veer off the roadway and collide with a concrete pillar. The impact of the collision resulted in the rider being ejected from the motorcycle. In response to the incident, the Houston Fire Department’s paramedics arrived at the scene but, unfortunately, had to pronounce the male deceased.

There were no other individuals or vehicles involved in this fatal crash. The Houston Police Department is actively continuing its investigation into the circumstances surrounding this tragic accident.
