Motorcycle Crash in Austin Claims Life of Rider
On Sunday, September 24, 2023, at approximately 4:45 p.m., Austin Police Department (APD) officers responded to a motorcycle crash in the 6600 block of South Pleasant Valley Road. The motorcyclist, 47-year-old Shane Donaway, died at the scene.
This incident is being investigated as Austin’s 67th fatal crash of 2023, resulting in 70 fatalities for the year. On the date of this crash in 2022, 76 fatal crashes resulted in 78 deaths.
