Montgomery County Jury Hands Life Sentence to Child Predator Caught in the Act

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas—A Montgomery County jury has convicted and sentenced Saul Adonay Jimenez-Herrera, 36, to life in prison for Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child.
The guilty verdict was delivered on September 25, followed by the life sentence handed down on September 26 by Judge John Hafley in the 435th District Court.
The case was brought to light in January 2024 when a caregiver discovered Jimenez-Herrera leaning over a 10-year-old child and reaching for a 5-year-old in a dark bedroom, with his shorts exposed. The caregiver immediately called 911, and Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office deputies quickly located and apprehended Jimenez-Herrera as he walked away from the scene.
Further investigation revealed that Jimenez-Herrera had been sexually abusing both children for approximately six months before he was caught.
“Saul Jimenez-Herrera targeted innocent children, and now he will spend the rest of his life in prison,” said District Attorney Brett Ligon. “In Montgomery County, predators who abuse children will find no mercy and no escape from accountability.”
The case was prosecuted by Chief Prosecutor Brittney Aaron and Assistant District Attorney Lianne Baldridge of the Special Victims Division. The Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office credited the “courageous actions of the caregiver,” the bravery of the young victims, and the diligent work of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and Children’s Safe Harbor for securing the life sentence.
