Missing Brazoria County Man Found Dead, Suspect to Be Charged With Murder

ROSHARON, Texas — A missing 70-year-old man has been found deceased, and a suspect is expected to face a murder charge following an investigation by the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded around 6:30 p.m. on March 23, 2026, to a report of a missing person identified as Ricardo Garza. He had not been seen or heard from for an unusual amount of time. When deputies arrived at his residence in the 4000 block of County Road 564, they observed conditions that led them to suspect foul play, prompting a homicide investigation.
With assistance from Texas Equusearch, investigators discovered a deceased male on the morning of March 25 at a construction site off Magnolia Parkway in Rosharon. Authorities said the body had been covered in an apparent attempt to conceal it.
The victim was later positively identified as Garza.
Based on the evidence collected, investigators identified 47-year-old Juan Daniel German as the primary suspect. German is currently in custody on unrelated charges and, in coordination with the Brazoria County District Attorney’s Office, is expected to be charged with murder.
The investigation remains ongoing. Officials extended their condolences to Garza’s family and said they are working to ensure justice is served.
