Midland County Narcotics Investigation Leads to Drug and Weapon Arrest
On January 16, 2025, the Midland County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit and Patrol Division conducted a narcotics investigation in the 1000 block of West Interstate 20. During the operation, authorities seized a handgun, methamphetamine, and ecstasy/MDMA.
35-year-old Jovan Paul Thomas was arrested and charged with:
- Two counts of Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance
- Two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance
Thomas was booked into the Midland County Central Detention Center.
Sheriff David Criner reaffirmed the department’s commitment to protecting the community and targeting individuals involved in the distribution of illegal narcotics.
