Man Wanted in Connection with Fatal Shooting on Katy Freeway Service Road
Charges have been filed against a suspect in connection with a fatal shooting incident that occurred on the 8147 Katy Freeway (West Interstate Highway 10) service road at approximately 6 p.m. on May 4.
The suspect, Anthony Martin Landry, 57, faces a charge of murder in the 209th State District Court. The victim has been identified as 46-year-old Jeffrey Limmer.
Houston Police Department (HPD) patrol officers responded to reports of a shooting at a restaurant located at the aforementioned address. Upon arrival, they discovered an unknown male, later identified as Mr. Limmer, unresponsive and suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite efforts by Houston Fire Department paramedics, Limmer was pronounced deceased at the scene.
According to preliminary investigations, Limmer was shot following a verbal disagreement with the suspect.
Further inquiries led authorities to identify Anthony Martin Landry as the suspect in this case. On Wednesday, May 8, Landry was charged with murder. However, he remains at large.
The suspect is reported to have fled the scene in an early 2000s blue Ford pickup truck.
