Man Takes Own Life at Spring Creek Greenway Nature Center

On March 26, 2024, Montgomery County Sheriff units responded to a distress call at the Spring Creek Greenway Nature Center situated at 1300 Riley Fuzzel Rd, Spring, TX. The call pertained to a welfare check of an individual.

Upon arrival, deputies attempted to intervene, but unfortunately, the adult male involved chose to take his own life inside his vehicle, with law enforcement present. The individual is now deceased.

School-aged children present at the Nature Center were shielded from witnessing the distressing event and are safe. They were escorted back to their respective schools without further incident.

In response to this incident, Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators have launched an investigation to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the individual’s death. The investigative units are meticulously examining the scene for pertinent clues.

To aid the investigation, the public is kindly urged to avoid the area at this time.
