Man on Bicycle Arrested After Pointing Gun at Woman in Beaumont Park
Leonard Ray Guillory

A 29-year-old man was arrested Thursday evening after reportedly threatening a woman with a firearm at a local park.

On June 19, 2025, at approximately 5:52 p.m., Beaumont Police officers responded to reports of a shirtless Black male riding a blue and green bicycle in the area of Harriot and Avenue A, allegedly armed with a gun.

Officers located the suspect near Corley Street and Roberts Street. When they attempted to make contact, the suspect fled on foot. A K-9 unit was deployed and successfully located the man in the 2600 block of Avenue D, where he was taken into custody without further incident.

The suspect was identified as Leonard Ray Guillory, 29. Investigators later determined Guillory had allegedly pointed a firearm at a female victim and made threats earlier at Chaisson Park, located at 1305 Harriot Street.

Guillory has been charged with aggravated assault. Police have stated that this incident is not believed to be related to an earlier shooting that occurred the same day at Roberts Park.
