Man Killed in Southeast Houston Massage Parlor by Security Guard

On November 30, 2023, at approximately 7:15 a.m., Houston Police Officers responded to a shooting incident at 10900 Gulf Freeway (South Interstate Highway 45) in Southeast Houston. Upon arrival, they discovered a male victim with a gunshot wound inside a business.

The Houston Fire Department paramedics, summoned to the scene, pronounced the man deceased. The victim was found in the hallway of the business, which was a massage parlor. Although no employees were present, the door was unlocked.

Investigations revealed that the incident occurred when an armed security guard, responsible for the business, discharged his weapon while carrying out his duties. The licensed security guard, who shot the man, remained at the scene.

The case is set to be presented to a Harris County grand jury for further consideration. The Harris County District Attorney’s Office has been consulted regarding the matter, and they have decided to refer the case to the grand jury for their evaluation.
