Man Killed, Another Wounded in Shooting in East Little York; Three Suspects on the Run
Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a 19-year-old male and the wounding of an 18-year-old male at 10600 Jordan Heights Drive in in East Little York/Homestead around 11:05 p.m. on Saturday, December 21.
The identity of the deceased male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. The 18-year-old victim was transported to a nearby hospital in stable condition.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives E. Camacho and K. Hale reported that officers were flagged down by the driver of a white Cadillac SUV in the 7800 block of East Tidwell Road. The driver informed them that a male passenger in the SUV had suffered gunshot wounds. Paramedics arrived and pronounced the man dead at the scene.
Investigators learned that the driver of the Cadillac had taken the deceased to 10647 Jordan Heights Drive to meet an unknown male. While they were speaking, three additional males approached the SUV and opened fire. The driver fled the scene, and the suspects continued shooting as they ran. The unknown male at the scene was also wounded and transported to the hospital.
The suspects, described only as black males, fled on foot and are currently at large.
