Man Found Fatally Shot on Apartment Porch in Eastex-Jensen Area

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man discovered at 3347 Persimmon Street in the Eastex-Jensen area on Sunday, December 29, 2024.

Officers responded to a report of a person down at approximately 9:05 a.m. Upon arrival, they found a 41-year-old man unresponsive on the front porch of an apartment. The victim had sustained an apparent gunshot wound and was pronounced deceased at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

Witnesses reported hearing an argument followed by multiple gunshots around 3:00 a.m., several hours before the victim was found.

No suspect description or motive has been identified at this time.
