Man Found Fatally Shot Near Transit Bus Stop in Houston
Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 7900 Sunbury Street around 6 a.m. on August 27. The victim has been identified as 49-year-old Jeremiah Standokes.
According to reports from Houston Police Department (HPD) Homicide Division Sergeant M. Cass and Detective J. Brown, officers responded to a call about a deceased person near a transit bus stop at the location. Upon arrival, they discovered Mr. Standokes had been shot. Houston Fire Department paramedics were called to the scene and pronounced him dead.
As of now, there are no known witnesses or suspects in the case.
