Man Found Fatally Shot Inside Vehicle Near Cloverleaf Area

HOUSTON, Texas – Harris County homicide investigators are seeking information after a man was found dead inside a vehicle Tuesday morning in east Harris County.

According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, patrol deputies responded at approximately 7:30 a.m. on May 26 to the 1300 block of Patch Road after receiving a report of a deceased person inside a vehicle.

When deputies arrived, they found 41-year-old Francisco Navarro dead inside a gray Dodge Durango. Investigators determined Navarro had suffered fatal gunshot wounds.

Homicide detectives believe the person responsible for the shooting was inside the vehicle with Navarro at the time of the incident and fled the scene afterward.

Authorities said the shooting likely occurred several hours before the vehicle and victim were discovered by passing motorists.

At this time, investigators have not identified a suspect and have no description of the shooter.

The case remains under investigation.
