Man Found Fatally Shot Inside Vehicle in Southeast Houston; Police Seek Leads

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found inside a vehicle at 5329 Higgins Street in Southeast Houston early Sunday morning, December 22, 2024.

Officers responded to reports of gunfire around 2:45 a.m. and searched the area for the source of the shooting. They discovered a vehicle with its brake lights on in a driveway at the address. Upon approaching the car, officers found an unresponsive man inside who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The vehicle also showed signs of multiple bullet holes.

Paramedics were called to the scene and pronounced the man deceased. His identity, believed to be a man approximately 30 years old, is pending confirmation by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

At this time, police have not identified any suspects or established a motive for the shooting.
