Man Found Fatally Shot in Vehicle in Greater Hobby Area

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male found in the driver’s seat of a vehicle at 9642 Intervale Street in the Greater Hobby Area at approximately 2:20 p.m. on Monday, January 20. The victim’s identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives P. Michon and A. Herrera reported that officers were dispatched to a shooting call at the apartment complex and found an unresponsive male in the vehicle. The victim had suffered at least one gunshot wound, and paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.

Evidence indicates the shooting took place nearby in the parking lot of an apartment complex at 9800 Hollock Street. The victim appears to have driven to the Intervale Street location before someone called 911 for assistance.

As of now, no suspects or clear motives have been identified in the case.
