Man Found Fatally Shot in Driveway of East Harris County Home; Suspects at Large

On Sunday, February 16, 2025, at approximately 1:15 p.m., Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a call in the 500 block of Zinn Street in Barrett in east Harris County. Upon arrival, they discovered an unidentified white male, approximately 25 years old, unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds. EMS personnel pronounced the individual deceased at the scene.

Responding deputies were unable to locate witnesses to the actual shooting, but learned several vehicles were reported leaving the residence immediately after the shooting.

HCSO Homicide and Crime Scene Investigators responded to the scene to conduct the follow-up investigation. No motive for the shooting has been determined and no suspect information is available at the time of this notification.
