Man Found Dead After Fire Extinguished at Southeast Houston Home

Houston police are awaiting autopsy results to determine the cause of death for a man found inside a residence after a fire was extinguished at 5807 Doulton Road in Southeast Houston around 10:30 p.m. on Monday, November 25.

HPD patrol officers and Houston Fire Department emergency personnel responded to the scene of a house fire. Upon extinguishing the flames, HFD personnel discovered an unresponsive male inside the home and pronounced him deceased.

The identity and cause of death of the man are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. The Houston Fire Department’s Arson Bureau is investigating the cause of the fire.
