Man Fatally Stabbed in Brownsville Funeral Home Parking Lot

The Brownsville Police Department is investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred early Sunday morning, February 2, in the parking lot of the Sunset Funeral Home, located in the 600 block of Springmart Blvd.

At approximately 2:16 a.m., Brownsville Police officers responded to reports of a stabbing at the location. Before officers arrived, the victim, identified as 23-year-old Gerardo Gonzalez, had been transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
