Anthony Miles

Anthony Miles, aged 37, has been convicted of Murder (1st Degree) on March 18th, 2024. Miles entered a guilty plea as part of a plea agreement and has been sentenced to 50 years in prison.

The case stems from an incident that occurred on Sunday, May 15th, 2022, in the 400 block of Beech Street, La Marque. The La Marque Police Department responded to reports of gunfire and found Marvkese Crawford, aged 23, from Dickinson, Texas, deceased at the scene. Another individual, Audry Fuller, aged 29, from Lake Jackson, Texas, was rushed to HCA Mainland Medical Hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Following an investigation by the LMPD Criminal Investigation Division, it was determined that the incident was a result of a “drug deal gone bad” which escalated into gunfire. Anthony Miles was identified as the orchestrator of the incident and subsequently arrested and charged with Murder.

The La Marque Police Department expressed gratitude to Detective Cypert, Detective Leacroy, and their team for their diligent work on the case. Special thanks were also extended to Assistant Galveston County District Attorney Hilary Miller, ADA Kate Willis, and the entire Galveston County District Attorney’s Office team. Recognition was given to the Galveston County Medical Examiner’s Office, Department of Public Safety’s Firearms and DNA Forensic Crime Lab Experts, FBI, High Tech Crimes Unit, and Galveston County Sheriff’s Office for their contributions to the investigation.
