Man Caught with Gun and Meth After Fleeing Deputies Near Burglarized Houston Business

On May 26, 2025, deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office arrested a man after he fled while being approached outside a previously burglarized business in the 7200 block of FM 1960 East.

Deputies observed a suspicious male, later identified as 28-year-old Conner Loftin, loitering outside the closed business. When they attempted to contact him, Loftin fled on a bicycle and then on foot. He was quickly apprehended.

Authorities determined that Loftin had multiple open warrants, including Theft and Possession of a Controlled Substance. During his arrest, deputies also found approximately 4 grams of methamphetamine and a firearm in his possession.

Loftin was booked into the Harris County Jail and charged with Evading on Foot, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and Possession of a Controlled Substance. He also faces charges related to his outstanding warrants. His total bond was set at $40,303.
