Man Arrested After Surveillance Video Shows Him Damaging Truck Outside Cypress Store
Ricky Anderson

Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies documented a criminal mischief case on November 15, 2025, after a man returned to his parked truck outside a retail store at 14200 Cypress Rosehill and found it heavily damaged. Deputies learned the victim had gone inside the store only briefly, and when he came back out, the front and sides of his truck had been dented.

Store surveillance video later showed a male suspect parked directly in front of the victim’s truck. The footage captured the suspect lowering the tailgate of his own truck multiple times, striking the victim’s vehicle. He then walked to the side of the truck and kicked it several times. The total damage was estimated at more than $5,000.

Detective Francis with the HCSO Burglary and Theft Division handled the follow-up investigation and identified the suspect as 46-year-old Ricky Anderson. A felony charge of Criminal Mischief ($2,500–$30,000) was filed.

On Wednesday, December 3, HCSO Detectives and the District 5 Crime Reduction Unit located Anderson, took him into custody, and booked him into the Harris County Jail.
