Man Arrested After Shots Fired at Halloween Party in North Houston

HOUSTON, TX — Deputies with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office arrested 27-year-old Raul Plascencia after a shooting during a Halloween party at a residence in the 9700 block of Wind Flower Lane, near Fallbrook and Highway 249.

Detectives say the incident happened overnight when partygoers became disruptive and refused to leave. The home belonged to one of Plascencia’s relatives, who called him for help. When Plascencia arrived, he reportedly saw one male with a handgun and another retrieving an assault rifle.

A fight broke out, and several men began striking Plascencia’s relatives. Investigators say Plascencia fired his weapon into the air, while the armed men fired toward the crowd as they fled.

One woman was shot during the chaos. She was taken to a local hospital and is expected to recover.

Plascencia has been charged with Disorderly Conduct – Discharge of a Firearm. The investigation remains ongoing.
