Man Accused of UH Student Assault Arrested on METROrail

Eric Brown, accused of sexually assaulting a University of Houston student at knifepoint on February 7, was arrested Tuesday afternoon, February 18th, near Texas Street and St. Emanuel Street.
Authorities said Brown was riding the METROrail around 3:30 p.m. when a passenger recognized him and alerted police. An officer monitoring METRO surveillance cameras also identified Brown, leading to his arrest without incident.
The Harris County District Attorney’s Office thanked Houston METRO, the University of Houston Police Department, and the Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force for their efforts in apprehending Brown.
