Lubbock Police Officer Placed on Administrative Leave Following DWI Arrest

The Lubbock Police Department has placed Officer Vincent Alexander Romero on administrative leave following his arrest in Hockley County in the early morning hours of Friday, September 8, 2023.

Romero was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated by the Levelland Police Department.

Romero is 25 years old and has been with the Lubbock Police Department since January of 2022. He was placed on administrative leave Friday, September 8, per LPD policy. An internal investigation is underway.
