League City SIU Arrests Two in Multi-Agency Operation

LEAGUE CITY, Texas — Detectives with the League City Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU), working alongside multiple partner agencies, arrested two suspects on September 5, 2025, as part of ongoing investigations.

Arrested Individuals:

  • Luis Leal Jr., 17, of League City — Charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle (No Bond). Leal was already out on bond for six counts of Aggravated Robbery.
  • Randy Rojas Jr., 21, of Texas City — Charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle ($10,000 Bond).

That morning, SIU detectives carried out simultaneous search and arrest warrants at two separate locations: the 1500 block of Maria Street in League City and the 3100 block of Lone Trail Drive in Texas City. Leal was apprehended in League City, while Rojas was arrested in Texas City. Both arrests occurred without incident.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities note that additional charges may follow.

The League City Police Department expressed gratitude to partner agencies that assisted in the coordinated operation, including the Combined Agency Response Team (CART), Bay Area Regional Bomb Squad (BARBS), Galveston County Organized Crime Task Force, Galveston County Auto Crimes Task Force, Galveston County Crime Suppression Unit, and the Texas Department of Public Safety.
