League City Police Investigate Fatal Shooting on Cumberland Ridge Lane

League City Police Officers are investigating a shooting that occurred in the 700 block of Cumberland Ridge Ln. An adult male was pronounced deceased at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.

On Thursday, June 27, 2024, at approximately 1:04 a.m., the League City Police Department received a 911 emergency call about a disturbance at a residence in the 700 block of Cumberland Ridge Ln. A single gunshot was heard as officers arrived on scene at approximately 1:11 a.m.

Officers quickly detained an adult male and secured the scene. Inside the residence, they found an adult male with an apparent gunshot wound and began life-saving measures until relieved by League City Fire Department EMS personnel. Shortly after, EMS personnel pronounced the male deceased at the location.
