League City Police Arrest Suspect in Armed Robbery Case

League City Police officers and detectives have arrested 30-year-old Joshua Johnson of Texas City in connection with an armed robbery that occurred last month. Johnson has been charged with Aggravated Robbery and is being held on a $150,000 bond.
On November 15, 2024, at approximately 11:50 a.m., the League City Police Department responded to reports of a robbery at a business located in the 600 block of W FM 517. The suspect, described as a black male approximately 6 feet tall with brown eyes, a gap in his teeth, and wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans, was last seen fleeing westbound on W FM 517.
According to the victim, the suspect entered the store, displayed a revolver, and demanded money. The victim complied and was unharmed during the incident.
The case was assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division, where detectives worked to identify the suspect. Their efforts led to Joshua Johnson being identified as the individual responsible. On December 18, 2024, at approximately 2:33 p.m., League City Police officers, assisted by Special Investigations Unit detectives, conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of Estelle Circle in Texas City. Johnson was taken into custody without incident.
The investigation remains ongoing.
