League City Police Arrest Registered Sex Offender Wanted on Multiple Warrants

League City Police arrested 38-year-old David Golson of Dickinson on July 18, 2025, on charges including failure to comply with sex offender registry requirements and providing false identification.
At approximately 12:30 a.m., Officer Davis initiated a traffic stop on a black Dodge Charger with expired registration in the 1700 block of W FM 646. Golson, the driver, failed to provide a valid state ID and gave false personal information while displaying nervous behavior.
Further investigation revealed drug paraphernalia in the vehicle and an out-of-state license with a name different from the one Golson initially gave. Officers confirmed Golson was a registered sex offender who had absconded in 2018 and failed to fulfill lifetime registration duties.
Golson was also found to have active warrants for terroristic threat from Harris County and a federal probation violation warrant issued by the U.S. Marshall Service related to interstate sexual activity.
He was taken into custody without incident and admitted to using a fake ID purchased at a flea market to evade authorities since 2018.
Golson is being held on bonds totaling $102,500.
