Law Enforcement Launches Operation to Combat Package Thefts in North Harris County

In a collaborative effort aimed at curbing package thefts during the holiday season, Constable Mark Herman’s office has teamed up with District Attorney Kim Ogg’s office to implement a strategic operation in North Harris County.

Over the past few weeks and extending until the end of the holiday season, law enforcement has devised a unique approach to apprehend package thieves.

The operation involves placing decoy packages on the front porches of homes, with officers discreetly monitoring the targeted residences. When a suspect takes the bait and attempts to steal the planted items, law enforcement swiftly intervenes, leading to the immediate arrest of the alleged criminal.
