Angela Scott

On May 27, 2025, Angela Scott, 29, of La Marque, was arrested on a Class A Misdemeanor warrant for Deadly Conduct related to a shooting earlier this month outside a League City business.

The incident occurred on May 6, 2025, around 12:04 a.m., when League City Police officers responded to reports of gunfire at the Nawal Hookah Lounge located at 689 W FM 517. Upon arrival, officers secured the scene and confirmed that no one had been struck by the gunfire.

Investigators learned that a large altercation involving 25 to 30 people had taken place in the parking lot just before the shots were fired. Witnesses reported seeing an unidentified female fire multiple rounds into the air. Officers recovered several spent shell casings at the scene.

Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division conducted an extensive investigation, which included interviews with witnesses, reviewing surveillance footage, and canvassing the area for additional evidence. Their efforts led to the identification of Angela Scott as the suspect. A warrant was issued and she was arrested without incident. Scott’s bond was set at $2,500.

In a related investigation, the League City Fire Department’s Fire Marshal Division inspected the Nawal Hookah Lounge and found multiple code violations. Authorities continue to investigate potential illegal operations at the establishment.
