Klein Oak Student Dies in Motorcycle Crash on North Freeway

An 18-year-old Klein Oak High School senior, Aamil Maredia, was killed in a motorcycle crash on the North Freeway in Spring yesterday afternoon.

The incident occurred on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at approximately 2:25 PM, in the 19300 block of the North Freeway northbound. According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division, Maredia was driving a motorcycle northbound when he failed to maintain a single lane and failed to safely pass to the right.

The investigation indicates that Maredia’s motorcycle entered the right shoulder, where it crashed into a 2019 International rollback wrecker, operated by Keaton Allen, which was stopped behind a disabled vehicle. Maredia was ejected from his motorcycle upon impact.

Emergency Services District 11 Medic 406 arrived at the scene and pronounced Maredia deceased at 2:48 PM.

The case remains under investigation by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division.
