Kidnapped Woman Rescued After Texting 911 from Moving Vehicle in Brazoria County

On November 2, 2024, at around 10:30 p.m., a woman in Brazoria County used the Text to 911 service to report that she was being held against her will in a moving vehicle. Unable to make a voice call, the victim texted dispatch that the driver, identified as George Peters from Houston, was intoxicated and had threatened her life.
