Juvenile Suspect Arrested by Houston Police in Fatal Shooting on Richmond Avenue

Charges have been filed against a 16-year-old suspect in connection with the fatal shooting of 30-year-old Ledarrius Price that occurred on August 2 at 5600 Richmond Avenue. The suspect, whose identity cannot be disclosed due to legal reasons, has been referred to Harris County Juvenile Probation authorities on a charge of murder.

Houston Police responded to a shooting incident at a bar on Richmond Avenue late in the night on August 2. Upon arrival, they found Ledarrius Price inside the driver’s seat of a vehicle, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the parking lot. Despite efforts by Houston Fire Department paramedics, Price was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigation revealed that Price was shot by an unknown suspect who approached the vehicle and fired multiple shots before fleeing on foot eastbound on Richmond Avenue. Further probing led authorities to the juvenile suspect. The young suspect was taken into custody without incident on Monday, September 25. During questioning, the juvenile admitted his involvement in the shooting.
